Biographie

Simon is a postdoctoral researcher at the Stone Centre at INSEAD and an adjunct professor in the Department of Economics at École Normale Supérieure.

His research focuses on innovation, technological change, economic growth, and labor markets, with particular attention to how automation and artificial intelligence affect productivity, employment, and the organization of work.

He is the co-author, with Philippe Aghion and Céline Antonin, of The Power of Creative Destruction, which received the Prix Turgot for collective works and the AFSE Essay Book Prize in 2021. He also served as a rapporteur for the French Artificial Intelligence Commission’s 2024 report, AI: Our Ambition for France.
